Seeking a Civil Litigator

We are seeking a civil litigator to lead our civil litigation practice, focusing on employment and business litigation cases. You will be supported by one attorney who can assist with discovery, legal research, and case management, a Firm Relations Manager providing administrative support, and the Firm’s Owner who will assist with client management and case strategy. Flexible work from home working environment with collegial atmosphere and no billable hours requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle civil litigation matters in Fairfax General District Court, Fairfax Circuit Court, DC Federal Court, and other DC-area courts as required by the needs of the Firm’s clients
  • Meet with Firm attorneys and clients at Fairfax, Reston, and DC office locations upon request
  • Work from home office remotely – unique opportunity to achieve better work/life balance

Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of civil litigation experience in a private law firm environment (employment or business litigation experience preferred)
  • First chair/trial experience in Virginia courts
  • Extensive experience managing clients without assistance
  • Experience delegating work to other attorneys and staff for support
  • Virginia bar required,
  • DC Bar with DC Federal Court admission required DC/Maryland a plus; DC Federal Court admission a plus
  • Book of business not required

Compensation: $100K – $120K annual salary commensurate with experience, 5% origination commissions.

Benefits: 60% employer paid health insurance for employees, 401K, short-term disability coverage.

Other: Firm pays equipment, malpractice coverage costs and CLE costs.
